Certain game is available all year round such as rabbit, wild boar and certain breeds of venison. Other games (normally game birds) have a strict season:

• Mallard (wild duck) - 1st September to 1st February
  
• Partridge - 1st September to 1st February
  
• Pheasant - 1st October to 1st February
  
• Grouse - 12th August to 30th November
